Gift Basket Ideas

It is that time of year again! Starting in the fall there are so many fundraisers throughout the community, and I love to put baskets together for these events and for my own!

This year we are hosting our 2nd annual Halloween Bash and for an added bonus we are giving away door prizes! Our main giveaway will be this basket filled with fall goodies! We will also have some smaller door prizes but this one will definitely be the showstopper. 🙂

Gift baskets are great for events and as gifts! This basket would also be fantastic for a fall wedding. It is more personal, thoughtful, and let’s be honest–it is just more fun!

I tend to gather things ahead of time if I am not in a hurry for something last minute–so during my regular shopping trips-I will purchase little things here and there along with some gift cards. This way, I can add more and be more selective. It also helps to not break the bank too!

Creating a gift basket is so easy–you just need a theme. This basket of course has a “fall” theme to go along with the party. I start with a simple base and then add my biggest pieces to get a good idea of how I want to layer items.

Now once the bigger items are in place, I can add some fillers (tissue paper and smaller items).

This is when it gets really fun!! Now I can add in some more bigger/heavier items and throw in some added touches like faux fall leaves!

Once you get fillers added and all the big goodies, then you can some candy and gift cards! Just little extra surprises to make the basket a real gift!

In this basket I added 4 different gift cards. TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Visa & Target. These gift cards go along with the fall theme perfectly.

Now all is needed is wrap and bow for the final touches! And most importantly—I can’t wait to see who wins this!!

Remember, gift baskets can be as big or small as would like and you can be creative with any budget!!

XOXO, Valerie
